Submissions should be a short video of your student performing their talent. \nTech Crew \n5th and 6th graders can sign up to help on the tech crew. This is a great opportunity to learn about how a show works behind the scenes with introductions into lights\, audio\, stage management and production management. Please email or text the above contact info with child’s name\, grade and interests. \nParticipants will be notified about next steps on or before Feb. 1. \nImportant information \n\nThe Variety Show will be held March 6 at 1:30 and 6 pm. Both performances are required.\nRehearsals will be every Tuesday and Thursday from Feb. 6 through March 5 from 3:10-4:45.\nOne absence is allowed but it is very important that all participants are at rehearsals.\nCode of Conduct and permission forms are required to participate.\n\nIn the meantime\, if you have questions\, contact Erin or Glenn Shipps\, Variety Show Producers.

DESCRIPTION:Shawnee Mission North is hosting two feeder elementary schools per home basketball game and SFT night will be this Friday\, January 12! \n\nVarsity girls play at 6:00 p.m. & Varsity boys play at 7:30 p.m.\nA family section will be designated for SFT.\nElementary students will be admitted free and tickets for parents will be $7.00 each. *One exception\, Coach Hays hosted a basketball clinic on New Year’s Day and those participants\, and one parent will be allowed to attend free. North has a list of registered participants.\nSFT students are encouraged to wear the Brickhouse Bound white t-shirt they received at the fall SMN football game on SFT night. There are some extra shirts for those students who didn’t receive one in the fall.\nStudents will be welcomed to form a HIGH FIVE section along with the North PEP Club\, Dance Team\, and Cheer Squad during team introductions. Prior to introductions\, the PA announcer will share with attendees to meet “me and student leaders” by the stage in the Fieldhouse. PEP Club\, Dance and Cheer will help line up elementary students around the basketball court. This will occur for both girls’ and boys’ varsity pre-game announcements.\nA selection of 5th grade boys from Santa Fe Trail and Crestview will be participating in a 5-minute basketball scrimmage during half-time. We hope you can come cheer on your Trailblazers and Bisons!

DESCRIPTION:On October 31\, the SFT costume parade will be at 1:45\, followed by fall class parties at 2:00-2:45 pm. Parents and guardians are welcome! Costumes are optional. If your student is planning to wear a costume\, here are the guidelines: \n\nStudents should bring their costumes in a bag to change into before the parade. Students will wear their costumes over their school clothes\, if possible.\nPlease have young students practice putting on their costume. Please save the fancy\, complicated costumes for outside of school.\nNo make-up\, or colored hair.\nCostumes should be culturally and socially sensitive. Respect for all individuals and groups needs to be demonstrated.\nCostumes should not suggest violence in any manner. No weapons can be implied (such as swords\, knives\, guns\, light sabers\, etc.)\nStudents are encouraged to use their imagination in creating their costumes.\nA good rule of thumb would be to keep from wearing anything that would scare a kindergarten student.\nParents/guardians who attend the class party may take their student home after the parties are over. The front drive must be cleared by 2:50 for dismissal.

DESCRIPTION:Shawnee Mission North is partnering with feeder elementary schools to encourage community engagement and support of athletic and activity programs. This year they will host two feeder elementary schools per home game. SFT and East Antioch will be welcomed and featured on Friday\, September 22! \nWhat to Expect \n\nSFT students get free admission and a brickhouse bound t-shirt at check-in!\nParent/guardians can attend for $5 CASH.\nSFT students will check-in and purchase parent/guardian tickets at the SFT table outside the main gate between the swimming pool and sidewalk entrance from 6-7 pm.\nSFT student designated seating will be in the northwest stands\, look for the SFT banner.\nAt 6:45 pm the announcer will call for SFT students and ONE adult to meet on the track to help form the tunnel along with the Band\, PEP Club\, Dance Team and Cheer Squad as the football team runs onto the field!\n\nShawnee Mission North looks forward to hosting all the “lil” Santa Fe Trail and East Antioch Elementary students for Friday Night Lights!
